Indiana basketball has to feel on top of the world.

The Hoosiers scored 2 huge wins this past week, downing No. 1 Purdue and No. 24 Rutgers. They’ve also won 7 of their last 8, dropping only to Maryland last week.

That’s moved them up in Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology. Following their pair of wins, Indiana is now considered a 4-seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament with 1 month remaining until the Big Dance.

8 total B1G teams are projected to enter the fray in March, according to Lunardi. Those 8 are Purdue, Indiana, Rutgers, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State and Northwestern. Wisconsin, Penn State and Michigan are on the outside looking in.

Michigan State earned a huge win over Maryland Tuesday night to up their chances. The Spartans were considered a 9-seed according to Lunardi Tuesday night, but will move up after a win in East Lansing.

Wednesday night features 2 B1G games: Nebraska hosting Michigan and Penn State hosting Wisconsin. The latter should have some implications for the bubble, which will become hotly contested in just a few weeks.
