B1G East rivals make Top 6 for 4-star OT
A pair of B1G East rivals are both in the mix to land one of the best offensive line prospects in the 2022 recruiting class.
Friday, 6-foot-6, 250-pound offensive tackle Aamil Wagner revealed his Top 6 schools. Both Penn State and Ohio State are still in the running to land the native of Dayton. He’s ranked as the No. 5 prospect out of Ohio and the No. 13 offensive tackle of his class, per 247Sports.
The four non-B1G schools still in consideration are Auburn, Kentucky, Stanford and Notre Dame.

Wagner has earned a 4-star rating from 247Sports, ranking as the No. 134 prospect in the class, regardless of position. He received 30 offers during the recruiting cycle and has been a priority target for multiple programs.

Several B1G programs extended an offer but did not make the Top 6. Those included Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern and Purdue, along with Penn State and Ohio State.
Penn State’s recruiting class currently ranks No. 6 nationally and is No. 2 in the B1G. The Nittany Lions are behind only Ohio State in the conference, as the Buckeyes currently own the top-ranked class overall.
