We’ve reached Week 13 of the 2024 college football season, and all eyes are on the Big Ten.
This week, the conference announced that Oregon, the No. 1 team in the land in all of the major polls, has officially clinched a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game. The Ducks are off in Week 13, but they may have a better idea of their opponent in Indianapolis.
Ohio State, which has one loss on the season to Oregon, hosts undefeated Indiana in a top-5 battle. The Big Noon game is in the national spotlight with its B1G Championship and College Football Playoff implications.
Beyond the Indiana-OSU showdown, there are 6 more B1G games scheduled.
Illinois is back in the top 25 and will look to keep things rolling toward the postseason on Saturday at Rutgers. Iowa and Maryland are also featured in the early window.
Penn State remains in the thick of the CFP race as a 1-loss team ranked in the top 5. The Nittany Lions are on the road in Week 13, facing Minnesota.
Michigan hosts Northwestern in the afternoon window. Both teams are looking to get back in the win column after recent losses.
Bowl eligibility is on the line when Wisconsin and Nebraska tangle in Lincoln. The Badgers have dropped their last 3 games, while the Huskers are on a 4-game losing skid.
There’s only one kickoff in the evening window, and it’s of the After Dark variety. USC and UCLA continue their rivalry at the Rose Bowl.
The Week 13 B1G slate began Friday with Purdue at Michigan State. The Spartans took a 24-3 lead into the locker room at the half and held on for a 24-17 victory to improve to 5-6, 1 win shy of bowl eligibility.
