B1G hoops announces standout Player, Freshman of the Week following Week 1
The college football season continues to head toward a dramatic conclusion, but B1G basketball has once again tipped off.
The 2021-22 hoops season is bound to produce some memorable moments as always. Illinois even wound up on the wrong side of an upset Monday night, falling to unranked Marquette.
Coming out of the first week of the basketball season, the B1G has announced its selections for Player and Freshman of the Week. Indiana forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was the first recipient this season of the Player of the Week Award.
In 2 season-opening wins, Jackson-Davis averaged 20 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 5 blocks for the Hoosiers. That included a remarkable 7 blocked shots in a win over Northern Illinois.
