Not to be outdone by B1G defensive linemen, the conference’s linebackers put up a pretty strong showing on the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday.

First, it was Ohio State’s DaVon Hamilton, Michigan State’s Kenny Willekes and Nebraska’s Khalil Davis who sat in the top three spots in the bench press among defensive linemen. Now, three former B1G linebackers occupy the same three spots in their position group.

Michigan’s Khaleke Hudson led the way, followed by Michigan State’s Joe Bachie and Wisconsin’s Zack Baun. Below were their totals from Friday night’s bench press in Indianapolis:

  1. Khaleke Hudson, Michigan — 30 reps
  2. Joe Bachie, Michigan State — 26 reps
  3. Zack Baun, Wisconsin — 24 reps

Pretty strong showing from those B1G linebackers.

It’ll be interesting to follow this group through the remaining drills to see what they can do.
