Joshua Perry of the Big Ten Network released his new power rankings heading into Week 3 and there’s a different team at the top this time.

Iowa has jumped Ohio State after it went into Iowa City and took down arch rival Iowa State last Saturday.

They’re now ranked at No. 5 in the country after that win and have sent a message to the rest of the B1G that they may be the team to beat in the conference.

After the Hawkeyes come the Buckeyes as they will still likely be in the B1G Championship Game once the season finishes up. They’re that talented and they’ll be favored in almost every game the rest of the way, despite losing to Oregon.

Penn State, Michigan, and Michigan State round out Perry’s top 5 and it’s hard to argue against them.

The Nittany Lions have shown that they’re back this year after a down 2020 season and both the Wolverines and Spartans have looked much improved through 2 weeks thus far.
