Big Ten Network analyst Anthony Herron revealed his list for the top 5 cornerbacks in the Big Ten Wednesday.

Perhaps a testament to the sheer amount of strong cornerbacks in the Big Ten, all 5 players on his list hail from different teams. Herron placed Penn State standout Kalen King first, followed by Iowa CB Cooper DeJean, Michigan’s Will Johnson, Maryland’s Tarheeb Still and Illinois’ Tahveon Nicholson.

DeJean is the B1G’s returning interceptions leader with Illinois’ Sydney Brown off the NFL. The Iowa standout totaled 5 picks last season for the Hawkeyes and is poised to do even better this season.

But nobody comes close to Kalen King in terms of pass breakups. He totaled 18 last season, with the next closest being Devon Witherspoon’s (heard of him?) mark of 14.
