B1G places 5 players on ESPN's way-too-early All-American selections for 2023 season
Though the book was just recently closed on the 2022 college football season, it is never too early to look ahead to the 2023 edition of college football.
Recently, ESPN unveiled its look at the potential All-American teams for 2023. Headlining that team is USC QB Caleb Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner who returns to try and lead the Trojans into the College Football Playoff.
Out of the B1G, a pair of dynamic offensive options made the list in Michigan RB Blake Corum and Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. Both players were among the national leaders at their positions in 2022, and both should be featured heavily for their respective offenses in 2023.
Jer’Zhan Newton — an impact defensive lineman and one of the top pass-rushing defenders on the interior nationally — made the All-American defensive unit. Newton should anchor Illinois’ defense for another strong run in 2023.
Here are the B1G players who landed on ESPN’s list:
- RB Blake Corum, Michigan
- WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
- OG Zak Zinter, Michigan
- OT Olu Fashanu, Penn State
- DT Jer’Zhan Newton, Illinois
