B1G reveals preseason honorees for 2022 season
The B1G is headed to Indianapolis for Big Ten Media Days this week. Ahead of talking season, the conference announced its list of preseason honorees for the 2022 season.
Instead of a full first-team list of All-B1G selections, the conference does things a bit differently in the preseason. The B1G revealed 5 players from each division for its preseason honors list as voted on by a media panel.
The 10 preseason selections included a trio of first-team All-B1G players from 2021, a Heisman Trophy finalist and 7 players scheduled to appear at Media Days across Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Ohio State led all teams with 3 players honored in the East. Wisconsin led the West selections with 2 players selected. Unsurprisingly, the Buckeyes and Badgers were the two teams voted on to play for the B1G Championship Game this season with Ohio State a unanimous preseason champion of the B1G.
