The B1G West is currently in a scramble.

Purdue, Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota are all tied with each other in the division at 4-3 in B1G play.

Purdue is highly favored 2-1 against the other three, along with Illinois in this scenario. Minnesota is 0-2 with a loss to Illinois and a loss to Purdue with Iowa 1-1, losing to Illinois and defeating Purdue.

There’s a lot that could happen between now and the B1G Championship Game on Dec. 3. Iowa and Minnesota will also provide one piece of the puzzle when the two face off in Week 12.

A few scenarios that could unfold for each Purdue, Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota were posted to Big Ten Network’s socials.

As stated, Purdue can clinch the division IF the Boilermakers end up winning both of their remaining games AND Iowa loses a game. Iowa can take the B1G West division IF the Hawkeyes happen to win the next two games AND Illinois loses.

For Illinois to take the division the Illini will need to secure wins in their next two games as well as a Purdue loss.

Whereas, the more unlikely of the bunch, but still could happen, is for Minnesota. Minnesota would need to win both its remaining games, AND get losses from Illinois AND Purdue.

It will be quite interesting to see how these scenarios end up playing out for the B1G West division.
