B1G West on remarkable bowl run past two seasons
The B1G West is on an impressive run in bowl season.
Following Iowa’s win over Mississippi State in the Outback Bowl, the B1G West is now 8-1 in bowl games over the past two seasons. That streak was in serious jeopardy on New Year’s Eve before Northwestern’s remarkable second-half comeback over Utah.
It should be noted that the lone blemish is a big one. Purdue was blown out by Auburn 63-14 in this year’s Music City Bowl. Iowa, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are the B1G West teams to record a win this bowl season.
Across the B1G, Michigan is the only team to go 0-2 in that span.
Believe it or not, the Big Ten West is now 8-1 in bowl games since last season.
