B1G women's basketball: 4 quarterfinal games on tap for Friday
The B1G women’s basketball tournament is heating up with quarterfinal matchups in store for Friday. It will be the first game of the tournament for the top 4 seeds in the conference.
First up is a matchup between Michigan State and top-seeded Ohio State. The two sides played in the regular-season finale with the Buckeyes winning 61-55 to clinch a share of the regular-season title.
Following will be a game between Indiana and 4-seed Maryland. The two sides finished 4th and 5th in the conference standings with the teams splitting the regular-season series. Maryland most recently beat Indiana in the regular-season finale.
Northwestern will face 2-seed and co-champion Iowa to start Friday evening’s action. The two sides split their regular-season matchups with Caitlin Clark scoring 28 points in a 72-67 overtime victory in January.
The final game of the day comes between Nebraska and 3-seed Michigan. The Wolverines had a chance to clinch the regular-season title in the season finale but were blown out by the Hawkeyes in Iowa City.
All of Friday’s action will be televised on BTN.
