B1G women’s hoops sets conference record for teams in a single Sweet 16

After placing nine men’s teams in March Madness, expectations in the B1G were incredibly high heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Unfortunately, those expectations were not realized with Illinois and Iowa failing to make it out of the Round of 32 and Purdue and Ohio State getting upset by double-digit seeds in the Round of 64. In the end, Michigan is the lone B1G team standing in the Sweet 16.
Fortunately for the conference, B1G women’s hoops have shown some impressive displays this March despite having just one team higher than a 4-seed. Heading into the Sweet 16, the B1G has placed four women’s teams in the action with 2-seed Maryland, 4-seed Indiana, 5-seed Iowa, and 6-seed Michigan.
Christy Winters-Scott sat down with BTN’s Mike Hall to discuss what is a conference record four teams in the Sweet 16 for the Women’s NCAA Tournament:
