While the weekend of August 31 is the one that will gain most attention as the first of the college football season, the 2019 campaign will actually begin a week earlier on August 24.

Florida and Miami will renew an old rivalry on Aug. 24 in Orlando and Arizona will travel to Hawai’i to open up the 2019 season. This week, betting lines for the two matchups were released.

According to Las Vegas Super Book, Florida is currently a 7.5 favorite over Miami and Arizona is an 11.5 favorite over Hawai’i. Kickoff is still over two months away, so there is plenty of time for the lines to shift.

The neutral site matchup between Florida and Miami will be the headliner, as both teams are expected to be top 25-caliber squads. Miami leads the all-time series 29-26 and won the last matchup between the two, a 21-16 victory in 2013.

Arizona and Hawai’i have played five times and the Wildcats own a perfect 5-0 record against the Warriors. The last matchup between the two came in 2016, a 47-28 win for Arizona.
