Big Noon Kickoff's Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart include 2 B1G names in Heisman race
The Heisman race is starting to heat up as the college football season is now halfway through.
There are some great players from the B1G this season, including Aidan Hutchinson, C.J. Stroud, Kenneth Walker III, Blake Corum, and many more.
Big Noon Kickoff had the Heisman discussion topic come up on today’s show and Matt Leinart thinks that Stroud has the best chance from the B1G to win that prized award.

“C.J. Stroud is playing as well as anyone. 10 touchdowns, 0 interceptions in his last two games. Everyone wrote him off, they wrote Ohio State off after that loss to Oregon — oh, by the way, he threw for 500 yards and 3 touchdowns in that Oregon game. He’s got the players around him. I’m telling you, he’s got the best opportunity because of what’s left on the schedule.”
The Buckeyes have some tough games against Penn State, Michigan State, and Michigan down the stretch but if Stroud is able to play well in those games, he’ll start to get even more national recognition.
Reggie Bush went in a different direction as he’s very high on Spartans running back Kenneth Walker (and rightfully so).
“Kenneth Walker is the only running back who I would put in this Heisman race because Kenneth Walker is the reason why Michigan State is undefeated. That’s one of the requirements to staying in the race. You have to play well and you have to win.”
This award will have no shortage of candidates as we get into the stretch run of this season.
