Recently, 247Sports ran the numbers for college football’s attendance figures for the 2018 season. And when the figures were published, the B1G absolutely dominated.
247Sports published the top 10 attendance figures for the past season, and the top three spots all belonged to B1G programs. A fourth school cracked into the top 10, as well.
Michigan had the most popular venue this season, averaging 110,737 fans per game, best in the country by over 5,000 people per game. Penn State came in at No. 2, averaging 105,485 fans and Ohio State was No. 3 with an attendance 101,947 per game.
Only five total programs hit the 100,000-fan average barrier this season. LSU (100,819) and Alabama (101,561) were the other two programs to reach that mark.
Nebraska was the other B1G program to crack into the top 10, averaging 89,034 fans per game. The Huskers came in at No. 10 on the list.
