Big Ten delivers historic AP Poll showing following Week 11
The Big Ten’s elite teams kept winning in Week 11, and as a result, the conference delivered a historic showing in the latest AP Poll.
For the 1st time, the B1G has 4 teams in the top 5 of the AP Poll. Oregon remains at No. 1, Ohio State is at No. 2, Penn State is at No. 4, and Indiana is at No. 5. The Texas Longhorns are the lone non-B1G team in the top 5.

The Ducks were already No. 1, but the other 3 B1G teams in the top 5 each moved up. The Buckeyes are up 1 spot, the Nittany Lions are up 2, and the Hoosiers are up 3.
Oregon soundly defeated Maryland in Week 11 to maintain their ranking. Ohio State dominated Purdue, and Penn State easily beat Washington.
The Hoosiers, meanwhile, are perhaps the best story of the 2024 season so far. In Week 11, the Hoosiers beat a tough Michigan defense to stay perfect. The team is 10-0 for the first time in school history and is ranked inside the top 5 for the first time since 1967. It is just the 3rd time in school history the Hoosiers have been ranked this highly.
Interestingly, the 4 teams inside the top 5 are the only ranked B1G teams. Those 4 teams have a combined 36-2 record on the season with a combined 24-2 record in conference play.
With Georgia and Miami both losing in Week 11, there is room at the top for teams to stake their claim. With these teams having either 2 or 3 games to play in the regular season, there could still be substantial change at the top of the rankings.
