The Big Ten is once again at the top of the college football mountain with Michigan taking down Washington for the program’s first title since 1997.

It also proved to be the first title for the conference since Ohio State won the initial College Football Playoff after the 2014 season. Monday also provided fans far and wide a look at the new B1G in the national spotlight.

Beginning in the 2024 season, the B1G will welcome in the Huskies alongside Oregon, UCLA and USC as the conference grows to 18 teams. As a result, the B1G will need to make some adjustments to their long-running television commercial.

That commercial ran for several years and begins with an animated shot of the Rose Bowl in California. From there, the shot pans to Nebraska and Iowa in the middle of the country before making stops at every B1G campus on a path to the East Coast and Rutgers.

Along the way, the commercial highlights the distinct characteristics of every locale. It was a traditionally well-loved commercial but will need some work to fit in the aforementioned Pac-12 programs joining the league.

Will the B1G expand the current commercial to fit the new schools into frame, or will the league scrap it entirely with a brand-new look for a new-look league? Time will tell, but fans of the B1G said farewell on social media during the national title.
