Big Ten Network announces plan for B1G Wrestling Championship coverage
After seeing a record-breaking viewership total in wrestling coverage this year, Big Ten Network has announced plans to broadcast the 2020 B1G Wrestling Championships.
Thursday, BTN announced that it will stream Session 1 and Session 2 on BTN+, scheduled for March 7. Cameras will be on all mats for the event, and there will be live commentary for the broadcast. On March 8, Session 3 and third- and fifth-place mats will stream on BTN+.
Championship matches will air live on BTN and the FOX Sports app. Coverage will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Viewer totals for BTN’s wrestling coverage are up 38 percent from previous years. According to the network’s release, there was an average audience of 113,631 viewers per event this year.
Eight B1G teams rank in the top 10, according to FloWrestling.
