The Big Ten on CBS is returning in the 2024 season, and the network will air some marquee matchups in the 3:30 pm ET time slot this fall.
After airing a few matchups last season, CBS’s portfolio of games will increase this fall after the SEC on CBS relationship came to an end in 2023. The B1G will fill that void as part of the new media rights deal for the conference that also includes FOX and NBC Sports.
On Tuesday, CBS unveiled 2 of the matchups that will be aired in the 3:30 pm time slot in September. CBS also confirmed the network will air the B1G Championship Game on Dec. 7 with the traditional 8 pm ET kickoff time still in place. Fans can track the latest B1G Championship odds and get in on the action with Tradition’s FanDuel Ohio promo code.
Here are the first 2 Big Ten on CBS games confirmed:
- Saturday, Sept. 14: Notre Dame at Purdue
- Saturday, Sept. 21: USC at Michigan (-11 via DraftKings)
Notre Dame and Purdue are continuing a series they began in 2021 with a matchup in South Bend. The Irish won that matchup 27-13, and Purdue will be looking at a bit of revenge in West Lafayette.

Meanwhile, USC and Michigan will play one of the biggest conference games on the September slate. The Wolverines will play marquee games against Texas and USC in the first month of the season, and the Trojans will make their B1G debut with a visit to Ann Arbor.
Other broadcasts that have already been confirmed include FOX airing Michigan’s game against Texas and The Game between Ohio State and Michigan. Those two showdowns will fill the network’s Big Noon Game of the Week slot at 12 pm ET.
NBC Sports will also be back with “Big Ten Saturday Night” this season. The first two weeks will include Michigan vs. Fresno State and Colorado at Nebraska.
