The Big Ten schedule for the 2024 season is still in the works with the league set to expand to 16 teams. However, the B1G has landed on a new scheduling formula and is prepared to reveal that formula.

According to a Wednesday evening announcement from the Big Ten Network, the B1G’s new scheduling model will be revealed in a special edition of B1G Live at 4:30 pm ET on Thursday. Along with the model, the B1G will unveil opponents for the 2024-25 season.

The B1G Live show will also feature interviews and comments from commissioner Tony Petitti, B1G COO Kerry Kenny and Ohio State AD Gene Smith.

Already, the SEC has announced it will remove divisions beginning in 2024 when Texas and Oklahoma join. The SEC also confirmed it will play 8 league games next season.
