The Big Ten is back with more conference Players of the Week after a loaded Rivalry Week slate in Week 13. In the process, the race to Indianapolis and the B1G Championship Game was concluded.

Here are the Week 13 Players of the Week:

Offensive Player of the Week

  • Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland QB

Tagovailoa went 24-for-31 passing with a season-high 361 yards and 4 total touchdowns. In the process, Maryland’s star QB became the B1G’s all-time leading passer with 11,256 career yards. Tagovailoa passed Purdue QB Curtis Painter’s 11,163 yards for the record.

Defensive Player of the Week

  • Aaron Casey, Indiana LB

Delivered 11 total tackles with 9 solo tackles to get to 109 stops on the season. Casey is the first Hoosiers with 100+ tackles in a season since Tegray Scales in 2016. Produced his 6th game of double-digit tackles on the season and tied a career-high with 4 TFL.

Special Teams Player of the Week

  • James Turner, Michigan K

Turner delivered 3 field goals, including tying his career-long with a 50-yard kick. He produced 12 total points in Michigan’s 30-24 win over Ohio State in The Game.

Freshman of the Week

  • Dillon Thieneman, Purdue DB

Recorded 2 interceptions against Indiana to establish a new Purdue record for interceptions by a freshman with 6. Thieneman also led the Boilermakers with 8 tackles to finish the year with 74 solo tackles.
