Big Ten volleyball: BTN analyst Emily Ehman reveals top 5 impact performers of the week with familiar face at No. 1
Big Ten volleyball is moving onward in conference play with BTN analyst Emily Ehman providing her updated list of impact performers from the weekend of action.
Earlier in the week, the updated AVCA Coaches Poll dropped with 7 B1G teams leading the way. Nebraska and Purdue led the conference as top-5 teams with 6 teams in the top 15.
Just inside the top 25, Michigan checked in as a new addition to the poll after a strong start to B1G play.
Here is Ehman’s latest list of impact performers that was dropped on Wednesday with Purdue freshman Eva Hudson leading the way:
- 5. Devyn Robinson, Wisconsin
- 4. Alexa Rousseau, Northwestern
- 3. Gabby Gonzales, Ohio State
- 2. Hannah Grant, Michigan
- 1. Eva Hudson, Purdue

Here’s what Ehman had to say about Hudson’s latest week with the Boilermakers:
“And for my No. 1 Player of the Week, seems like every week she’s on this list, Purdue freshman Eva Hudson,” explained Ehman. “She had a double-double with 24 kills and 17 digs in a 5-set win over Illinois on Friday where she also hit .380. Then on Sunday against Rutgers, she totaled 19 kills, hitting .469 in just a 3-set match.”
We’ll see who lands on this list after another week of action.
