Big Ten volleyball is getting set for the 2022 season, and the conference is preparing for increased exposure of the sport.

This year, the B1G hosted the first-ever Volleyball Media Days ahead of the 2022 season. It was the first-ever event for the sport at the collegiate level.

On Monday, the conference also announced a record number of televised matches for the 2022 season. This year, B1G teams will play a record 55 matches across BTN, ESPN2, ESPNU and FS1.

From that group, the Big Ten Network will carry at least 47 matches this fall with 13 doubleheaders scheduled. ESPN’s coverage will feature 3 conference matches on ESPN2 and another trio of conference matchups on ESPNU across September and October.

FS1 will carry 2 matches from the conference. The Aug. 26 nonconference battle between Ohio State and Texas and “The Game” rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan on Sept. 28 will air on the network.
