Bo Nix in the NFL Draft: Betting odds reveal favorite for former Auburn, Oregon QB

Bo Nix will soon be learning his new home in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. Which team will pick Nix? One club is emerging as a popular pick.

On the NFL Mock Draft Database, the majority of recent projections over the past few weeks have the Denver Broncos selecting Nix.

Denver is looking for a quarterback after moving on from Russell Wilson. The Broncos have Jarrett Stidham, but are expected to bring in a quarterback to compete for the starting.

Sean Payton’s club has the No. 12 pick of the first round. As BroncosWire recently laid out, the team has lots of options with how it wants to approach drafting a QB.

The Broncos could take Nix at No. 12, someone else at No. 12, trade down to draft Nix or someone else later in the first round or go for a QB still available in a later round. It’s wide open for Denver with the No. 12 pick.

NFL insider warns of Nix sliding out of the first round

The leadup to the NFL Draft can be a silly season of floated possibilities by pundits and insiders who have agents in their ears.

Recently, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio published an article stating Nix that could be this year’s Will Levis. While Levis ended up impressing in rookie action, he had a rough NFL Draft night, falling out of the first round after being projected to go early by many experts. Florio notes that Nix and Michael Penix Jr. were likely not invited to Detroit in case they fell out of the first round.

Florio acknowledges that the Broncos are seen as a potential good fit for Nix. He ponders whether the club would take Nix at No. 12 or trade down in hopes of drafting him later. Trading down from 12 for a later first-round or mid-round pick was also one of the scenarios described by BroncosWire.
