Bo Nix scores first NFL TD but struggles in debut loss for Broncos
Bo Nix did score his first NFL touchdown in his first career start for the Denver Broncos. However, that is about all that went right for Nix against the Seattle Seahawks.
Nix’s first score came on the ground with the quarterback scrambling out of the pocket and then spinning into the end zone between Seattle defenders. That touchdown cut into a Seahawks lead to make it 26-20 with just over 2 minutes to go, but Seattle would hang on for the win.

Outside his rushing touchdown, Nix was very forgettable as a passer. He was 26-for-42 throwing the ball for 138 yards and 2 interceptions. His efforts attempting to push the ball down field were especially worrisome.
In fact, Nix was a direct target for many fans on social media weighing in on the young QB’s performance. One of his passes that led to an interception even drew an immediate audible reaction from CBS broadcaster Adam Archuleta.
It’s not hard to see when with Nix forcing a pass to a receiver that was triple covered by the Seahawks.

We’ll see how Nix responds moving into his rookie season, but that’s not quite the debut the former star at Auburn and Oregon was hoping for.
