Bobby Petrino and Missouri State are hosting UT Martin in Springfield on Thursday night. The Bears, after finishing 8-4 (6-2 Missouri Valley), are 1-0 after a win over Central Arkansas on Sept. 1 and were looking to avenge a loss to the Skyhawks in last year’s FCS playoffs.

In the 2nd quarter, fans were treated to a kick return by 6-foot, 298-pound Siale Suilafu. Yes, you read that right: 298 pounds. Take a look at the video below for yourself:

Give the man an oxygen mask after that return!

The Bears would go ahead to take a 21-14 lead into the locker room. If nothing else of consequence happens in this game, though, at least we’ll have 298-pound Siale Suilafu breaking off a big kick return in the 2nd quarter. Will Petrino turn to his defensive tackle again this season in return duties? Probably not. Savor it while you can, Missouri State fans.

Meanwhile, Petrino has had a pretty good run of success at Missouri State. The former Louisville, Arkansas, and Western Kentucky coach is 14-9 and has led the Bears to the playoffs and a top 20 ranking in back-to-back seasons.
