Bracketology: Joe Lunardi releases latest seed predictions, includes 9 B1G teams in field
Each day, Joe Lunardi is updating his bracketology predictions. With some conference tournaments already underway and the regular season winding down for other leagues, things are changing almost every day.
On Thursday, Lunardi updated his latest bracketology. There are nine B1G teams in the 68-team field right now, with Michigan State listed as a Last Four In squad after a victory over Indiana earlier this week.
Five of those B1G teams are expected to receive a No. 4 seed or higher based on the latest predictions. Here’s a look at where Lunardi has the nine B1G squads in terms of seeding right now:
- No. 1: Michigan
- No. 1: Illinois
- No. 2: Iowa
- No. 2: Ohio State
- No. 4: Purdue
- No. 6: Wisconsin
- No. 9: Maryland
- No. 10: Rutgers
- No. 11: Michigan State (play-in game)
On the outside looking in right now are Minnesota and Indiana, both of which probably need to win the B1G Tournament at this point to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
Lunardi continues to update his bracketology on a daily basis, and things will likely change over the course of the next 10 days.
