Brett McMurphy releases 'Ridiculously-Way-Too-Early' 2023 top 25 rankings
Brett McMurphy of Action Network released his “Ridiculously-Way-Too-Early” top 25 rankings for the 2023 football season Saturday evening, 2 days before the official end of the 2022 season.
Three B1G teams cracked the top 25 rankings; Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State. In other words, not much change from the 2022 season. All 3 of those programs were listed in the top 10, with Michigan at No. 3, Ohio State at No. 5 and Penn State at No. 7.
Below is the top 10. You can find No. 11-25 here.

Michigan and Ohio State are perennial top 10 teams, so their inclusion is far from surprising. Penn State earned its way into the top 10 with a long list of strong players returning, including star RB Nick Singleton. Kaytron Allen and Abdul Carter, more signee from an impressive 2022 class, will also take the field in 2023.
Drew Allar is expected to take over as full-time starter after Sean Clifford’s expired eligibility. The former 5-star is the catalyst of a lot of excitement in Happy Valley heading into next season.
The 2023 season starts in about 8 months!
