Brian Kelly, LSU trolled viciously following wild loss to Florida State
By Paul Harvey
Published:
Brian Kelly was one of the big movers of the offseason, leaving Notre Dame for a massive payday at LSU.
It resulted in a wild offseason for Kelly’s time beginning with the Tigers, including a fake southern accent, dancing with recruits and more in Baton Rouge.
That led up to a Week 1 LSU debut for Kelly with a matchup against Florida State in New Orleans. It was the perfect setting for Kelly to open his time with the Tigers… right?
Unfortunately for Kelly and LSU, Florida State had other plans. The Seminoles capitalized on multiple miscues and held on in a wild ending with a game-tying extra point try blocked with time already expired.
Needless to say, social media was quick to react, trolling the Tigers and Kelly for the disappointing start to his LSU tenure:

LSU has lost three straight season openers for the first time since 1991-1995 (5 straight).

This literally translates from French to,
‘Brian Kelly would have won over the locker room and the LSU fanbase if he went for two – even if it didn’t work.
But luckily for us, he elected to kick instead.’ https://t.co/GaPl8ZC36C

I know LSU didn't pay Brian Kelly $95 million just to get punked by an FSU team with 4-straight losing seasons in a de facto home game in his first game. 💀
