Another NFL-bound star is opting to skip the postseason.

Monday night, Stanford star running back Bryce Love announced that he will not participate in the Cardinal’s Sun Bowl matchup against Pitt on Dec. 31. He’s another name on a long list who have decided to skip the postseason.

Love released a statement regarding his decision.

Love played in 10 games for Stanford this season, rushing for 739 yards and six touchdowns as the Cardinal finished 8-4. But his production wasn’t near the level it was last fall.

As a junior, Love rushed for 2,118 yards, leading the Pac-12 and ranking second nationally. He also scored 19 touchdowns. His efforts led Stanford to a 9-5 finish and an appearance in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

Several college stars, including Will Grier (West Virginia), Noah Fant (Iowa), Rashan Gary (Michigan) and Darrell Henderson (Memphis) have decided to skip bowl games this year.
