BTN analyst makes bold prediction involving Jonathan Taylor, Michigan State defense
Michigan State’s offense may not be the best in the country.
Everyone knows that — even Spartans fans. However, the defense is always extremely stingy. Ohio State beat Michigan State this past weekend 34-10. That isn’t the norm. Ohio State rushed for 323 yards.
That also isn’t the norm. And if Ohio State did that, what could a team like Wisconsin do against the Spartans?

We’ll find out this week, as Michigan State has to travel to Camp Randall to take on the Badgers. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on BTN.
On Tuesday morning, ahead of the Spartans-Badgers matchup, Nicole Auerbach — a write for The Athletic and a BTN analyst — made a bold prediction involving Wisconsin’s top back Jonathan Taylor and the hard-nosed Spartans defense:
Three truths:
1. @JayT23 runs all over defenses.
2. @MSU_Football can stuff the run.
3. @NicoleAuerbach has a bold Week 7 prediction ⬇️. pic.twitter.com/pdMCfKsBRz— Big Ten Network (@BigTenNetwork) October 8, 2019
Woo, boy. If Taylor runs for at least 200 yards, Wisconsin won’t only win, but any credit we’ve given to Michigan State and its defense would be wiped off the table, too. It’s one thing if the Spartans are holding average teams down on the ground.
But if you can’t do it against teams like Ohio State and Wisconsin, then truly, how good are you?
