BTN's Joshua Perry names his Top 5 B1G defenses entering Week 6
We’re 5 weeks into the college football season and the best defenses around the B1G are starting to distance themselves from the rest of the pack.
On Thursday evening, Joshua Perry of the B1G Network unveiled his top 5 defenses from the B1G so far and it should be no surprise to see Iowa at No. 1.
In a video posted on Twitter, Perry explains his reasoning for putting Iowa at No. 1 is because of splash plays.
“This is not a sexy defense. They sit back and they play coverage and they do a really good job of that. They just wait for offenses to make mistakes. They have 12 interceptions on the season. They know how to take the football away and control the line of scrimmage. It’s really a fun unit to watch.”
After Iowa, Perry lists Penn State at No. 2, Michigan at No. 3, Purdue at No. 4, and Nebraska at No. 5.
