Week 1 came to a close for the Big Ten who posted an impressive 12-2 record as a conference. After all the games concluded, BTN.com’s Tom Dienhart posted his Big Ten Power Rankings heading into Week 2.

At No. 1, Dienhart kept Ohio State as the conference’s top team.

“A dominating 77-point effort and a program-record 776 total yards in the opener was an impressive salvo to the rest of the Big Ten,” he said. “The Buckeyes are back, baby!”

Dienhart’s No. 2 team made quite the leap from his preseason rankings – Wisconsin – going from No. 5 to right behind the Buckeyes.

“No school notched a more impressive win in the opener than the Badgers, who rallied to take down No. 5 LSU,” he said. “Maybe, just maybe, UW can handle this brutal schedule.”
