CBB AP Poll: Northwestern, Minnesota climb into rankings as 9 B1G teams land in Top 25

The B1G is establishing itself as the premier basketball conference in the country.

In the latest Associated Press Poll, nine teams from the B1G landed inside the Top 25. That’s two more than last week, thanks to the addition of Northwestern and Minnesota in the latest rankings.

Northwestern surged into the rankings this week after a 3-0 start in B1G play. The Wildcats have knocked off Michigan State, Indiana and Ohio State in the first three games of league contests and sit 6-1 overall.

Minnesota got a big win over Iowa in overtime to open conference play 1-1 and is currently 8-1 on the year, with the only loss to Illinois.
