Five B1G teams are back in the Associated Press’ top 25 this week and three more received votes after an important stretch of conference matchups.

Michigan leads all B1G teams, sitting at No. 5 in the recent poll and Michigan State is right behind at No. 6. The Wolverines posted a home victory over Minnesota and beat Indiana at Assembly Hall to go 2-0 this week. The Spartans were 2-1 on the week, defeating Maryland and Iowa but falling to Purdue in West Lafayette.

Purdue went from unranked to No. 17 after a road win over Ohio State and a victory over No. 6 Michigan State at home. The Boilermakers have won five straight games, and eight of their last nine.

Maryland dropped eight spots after a surprising loss to Illinois on Saturday at Madison Square Garden. The Terrapins dropped to 16-5 on the year and 7-3 in B1G play.

Wisconsin rounded out the B1G rankings, coming in at No. 24 after registering double-digit victories over both Illinois and Northwestern this week. The Badgers also defeated Michigan last Saturday, handing the Wolverines their only loss of the season.
