There’s still a long wait until the college basketball season tips off again, but it’s never too early to look at some of the top returning talent in the sport. That’s what college basketball expert Andy Katz has done.

Recently, Katz produced a top 25 list of the best college basketball players heading into the 2019-20 season, and one-third of the list contained B1G names. That’s the most for any conference across the country.

Katz even has a B1G player at the top of his list, tabbing Michigan State guard and All-American Cassius Winston as the No. 1 player in the country.

Here’s where Katz ranked the eight B1G stars on his list:

  • No. 1 — Cassius Winston, Michigan State
  • No. 9 — Anthony Cowan Jr., Maryland
  • No. 10 — Lamar Stevens, Penn State
  • No. 15 — Kaleb Wesson, Ohio State
  • No. 18 — Jalen Smith, Maryland
  • No. 19 — Trevion Williams, Purdue
  • No. 20 — Xavier Tillman, Michigan State
  • No. 22 — Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois

Michigan State and Maryland each have two players cracking the top 25. Penn State, Ohio State, Purdue and Illinois all have one player.
