We’ve not even started the college football season in 2020 and already some are looking forward to the upcoming basketball season. With so much talent returning in the B1G, it should be another strong season for the conference.

Recently, 247Sports released its way-too-early Top 25 for the 2020-21 college hoops season. Included in its rankings are five B1G squads, two of which are considered top 10 programs.

Here’s who 247Sports has ranked in the way-too-early poll:

  • No. 5: Iowa Hawkeyes
  • No. 9: Wisconsin Badgers
  • No. 11: Michigan State Spartans
  • No. 16: Ohio State Buckeyes
  • No. 24: Indiana Hoosiers

Iowa has a ton of talent returning to the floor this season, and reigning B1G Player of the Year Luka Garza still has yet to make a final decision on his future. If he returns to Iowa City for a final year, the Hawkeyes will be a favorite to win the B1G and reach the Final Four.

Wisconsin and Michigan State both claimed a share of the B1G regular season title last season, along with Maryland. Both are consistently good in the B1G and are always threats to win a conference crown.

Ohio State has gone through some changes in the transfer portal and Indiana is welcoming in another strong recruiting class. Those two teams will be worth keeping an eye on all season long.
