There’s a new B1G team inside the Top 5.
Michigan, which is off to a 13-1 start this season, has climbed up three spots from No. 7 to No. 4 in this week’s Associated Press Poll, becoming the highest-ranked team in the B1G. That title previously belonged to Iowa, but a home loss to Indiana dropped the Hawkeyes down to No. 7.
A total of six B1G teams saw their names in the AP Top 25 this week. Ohio State, Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota are also listed in the rankings this week. Purdue is the only team from the league to receive votes.
