The B1G has five teams in the top 13 of the Associated Press poll. That’s four more than the SEC and Big 12, three more than the Pac-12 and two more than the ACC.

Still, however, CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has zero B1G teams in his College Football Playoff.

Palm’s latest bowl projections have the B1G missing out on the playoff in favor of Alabama, Clemson, Stanford and Houston. He did have two B1G teams making New Year’s Six games and 10 from the conference making the postseason.

Missing from the field was Northwestern, which just lost to FCS Illinois State to fall to 0-2.
