The B1G is back in action which means its contenders had a chance to show what they can do on the field.

For Ohio State and Wisconsin, that translated to big wins against Nebraska and Illinois, respectively. Both the Buckeyes and Badgers looked good in various aspects of their play, though Wisconsin may have a mess to deal with before the Week 2 showdown against Nebraska.

Unfortunately for Penn State, an injury to running back Noah Cain and some crucial turnovers doomed the Nittany Lions in the season opener against Indiana. That does not mean Penn State’s season is over, but the pressure is incredibly high as James Franklin’s squad now must face Ryan Day and Ohio State in Week 2.

As we get settled into a week of preparation, the crew for the CBS Sports Network unveiled their brackets for the College Football Playoff. Every bracket looked slightly different, but all four had Ohio State selected:
