With the college basketball season in the rearview mirror, the attention has shifted to the upcoming NBA Draft and predicting where some of the game’s top stars will wind up in a few month.
Gary Parrish of CBS Sports updated his mock draft last week, predicting where he thinks college basketball and international hoops stars will land when the NBA Draft rolls around. In his first-round projections, Parrish has three former B1G stars mentioned.
Former Indiana freshman Romeo Langford leads the way among players out of the B1G, projected as the No. 8 pick going to the Memphis Grizzlies. Though the Hoosiers didn’t have quite the season as expected, Langford is still viewed as a lottery pick.
Purdue junior Carsen Edwards came in at No. 24 and getting selected by the Philadelphia 76ers. Many viewed Edwards as a mid-30s pick, but his run in the NCAA Tournament turned some heads.
Lastly, Parrish had Maryland big man Bruno Fernando going to the Golden State Warriors at No. 28. The former Terrapin was a double-double machine and provides a nice inside presence.
