The 2020 college football season hasn’t quite come to an end just yet, and already betting odds are being set for the 2021 Heisman Trophy race.

Sunday morning, CBS SportsLine released way-too-early odds for the 2021 Heisman race. There are plenty of recognizable names in the mix, but there are no B1G players that made the cut this time around.

Names like Indiana QB Michael Penix Jr., Minnesota RB Mohamed Ibrahim and Purdue wide receiver David Bell would likely be some strong early candidates to claim college football’s top individual award. However, none of those were mentioned.

Here’s a look at who CBS SportsLine is including early on its Heisman odds list:

  • Spencer Rattler, QB, Oklahoma: +300
  • D.J. Uiagalelei, QB, Clemson: +400
  • Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina: +600
  • D’Eriq King, QB, Miami (FL): +750
  • Bryce Young, QB, Alabama: +1000
  • Kedon Slovis, QB, USC: +1200

Obviously, we have a full offseason, spring practice and fall camp to get through before the 2021 season kicks off. Plenty of other names can emerge in the coming months and into the 2021 season. But, right now, these are the early favorites.

This year’s finalists for college football’s top individual awards are: Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence, Alabama QB Mac Jones, Alabama WR DeVonta Smith and Florida QB Kyle Trask.
