Cincinnati has reportedly moved on from head men’s basketball coach John Brannen. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported the news on Friday afternoon.
The school recently placed Brannen on suspension as it conducted an outside investigation into the program. The University of Cincinnati opened an investigation into the program after six players entered their names in the NCAA transfer portal over the span of just a few days. There was reportedly a “rift” between Brannen and players on the team.
It appears that after the review, Cincinnati has made its decision on Brannen. He had just completed his second season as the head coach of the Bearcats.
Sources: Cincinnati is expected to part ways with John Brannen. Official announcement expected soon.
