Rutgers’ red-hot winning streak came to an end Sunday at Purdue. However, that game produced some electrifying moments with both sides battling all the way to the end.

In the first half, the two teams traded and-1 poster dunks. The first was provided by Rutgers big man Cliff Omoruyi.

After catching a nice bounce-pass in the post, Omoruyi went right at Purdue’s Zach Edey. Omoruyi went up and over the 7-foot-4 Edey for an emphatic jam and the foul.

Later on in the half, Purdue’s Jaden Ivey responded with a highlight of his own. Ivey went right by his man off the dribble and was met by multiple Rutgers players at the rim. They were too late as Ivey exploded for an incredible dunk and the foul.

Purdue was able to pull away and maintain its lead in the second half as Ivey led all scorers with 25 points for the 84-72 win. Paul Mulcahy led Rutgers with 15 points while Omoruyi finished with 14 points for the Scarlet Knights.
