The B1G owns the Top 5 this week.

In the latest Associate Press Poll, three teams from the B1G cracked the Top 5. Michigan still leads the way in the No. 3 spot, followed by Ohio State at No. 4 and Illinois at No. 5. Two other teams — Illinois and Wisconsin — also cracked the Top 25 in this week’s poll.

Rutgers and Purdue fell out of this week’s rankings but still received votes.

The B1G has continued to flex its muscle as the strongest conference in college basketball this season, and members of the AP seem to think so, as well. Gonzaga and Baylor still sit atop the rankings as they have every week, but the rest of the Top 5 was dominated by the B1G.
