College basketball AP Top 25: Oregon cracks top 10, Purdue falls after A&M loss
The Week 7 AP Top 25 is here, and 5 Big Ten teams made the cut this weekend.
Most notably, Oregon has cracked the Top 10 after its win over Stephen F. Austin, paired with a few losses from around the country.
Purdue’s loss to Texas A&M was probably the most notable result from the weekend. The Boilermakers are a talented offensive team, but they will struggle this season against teams that pressure the ball as Texas A&M, Marquette and Penn State have already shown.
UCLA had the largest rise from week to week, jumping 6 spots after its win over Arizona in a semi-away environment in Phoenix. The Bruins are 9-1 on the season with wins over Oregon, Arizona and Washington, having fallen to New Mexico earlier in the year.
Michigan had the biggest tumble after falling to Arkansas on Tuesday. The Wolverines have been veery hot or cold this season, but there’s still some promise for Dusty May and Michigan moving forward.
