College basketball rankings: B1G has 6 teams inside Top 25
Another week of college basketball is in the books, and another Associated Press Poll loaded with B1G squads has been released.
This week, six teams from the B1G have cracked the AP Top 25. It’s not the most the league has placed in the rankings at one time this season, but it’s still a pretty solid number.
Iowa is the highest-ranked team in the league, coming in at No. 4 with a 12-2 record. While Michigan is no longer undefeated — falling to Minnesota over the weekend — the Wolverines are still in the Top 10 at 11-1 and Wisconsin also found itself in one of the Top 10 slots with an 11-3 record.
Ohio State, Minnesota and Illinois also made the Top 25 this week. Only two other teams — Michigan State and Purdue — received votes.
