College basketball rankings are getting updated with a new AP Top 25 Poll as we head into the week of Jan. 9. There is yet another change at the No. 1 spot.

After losing to Rutgers early last week, Purdue fell from the top spot and checks in at No. 3 on the newest poll. Houston at 16-1 is the new No. 1 in the country Kansas checks in at No. 2.

Sports Betting in Big Ten Country

Despite the first loss of the season, Purdue did respond with wins over Ohio State and Penn State to finish the week and rebound in a solid fashion.

Indiana fell out of the Top 25 while Wisconsin is the only other B1G team featured. The Badgers even fell 4 spots and check in at No. 18 overall.

The B1G did have 6 teams find themselves in the “others receiving votes” section. Indiana, Michigan State, Northwestern, Rutgers, Illinois and Ohio State are just outside the top 25.
