College football analyst Joshua Perry ranks Top 5 B1G freshmen
There’s plenty of advantages to possessing experience on the roster, but a quick way to improving faster is recruiting and playing effective freshmen. There are plenty of those in the B1G this fall.
Big Ten Network analyst Joshua Perry ranked his Top 5 freshmen in the conference Wednesday and released his list in a video on Twitter. Nebraska running back Wan’Dale Robinson came in at No. 1.

“They line him up at receiver, put him in the backfield, let him go out there and make plays,” Perry said. “Single-handedly was able to tear up Northwestern’s defense. The kind of playmaker you want to have around.”
Robinson has 214 rushing yards and two touchdowns with an average of 4.3 yards per carry. He also has 27 receptions, 336 yards and two touchdowns. For good measure, he returns kickoffs as well.
